Last week's post about using Google Alerts was a great lead-in for today's post: A real-life example of how using Google Alerts can keep you ahead of the curve:

The interesting part?  They make "Yo-yo" iPod headphone cases.  When I first saw this, I thought to myself, "Great, now I'm going to have to buy an iPod so that I can rock out and waste time with a Yo-yo all day."  However, it's just a dumb carrying case.

The lesson: If this new company was actually selling Web Sites, I'd be on top of it!
