Beware of Spam Solicitation: Domain Listings - Las Vegas, NV

I received a mailed solicitation from “Domain Listings” (domainlistings dot directory) that appears designed to resemble an official domain registration renewal notice. The mailing attempts to prompt recipients into paying approximately $288 per year to be listed in their directory.

This type of mail can easily be mistaken for an actual domain renewal notice, so it should be reviewed carefully before any payment is made.

It also appears that the sender may have obtained contact information from publicly available WHOIS domain registration records, which are often used for marketing or solicitation purposes.

For reference, the company lists the following contact information:

Domain Listings
PO Box 19607
Las Vegas, NV 89132

Phone: 702-998-0222 (corrected)

While they describe themselves as an online business directory, the mailing presentation and format may lead some recipients to believe it is related to domain registration services. In my personal experience, I found it to be misleading in that regard.

Important tip: Always verify any domain renewal notice directly through your official domain registrar before making a payment to a third-party company.
