If you're using SendGrid’s Free Email API or Free Marketing Campaigns Plan, you’ve probably seen the notice by now: your free plan will be retired in 60 days.

The email started going out on May 27, which means the cutoff will likely fall around July 26, 2025 — our best estimate based on the 60-day window provided.

Recently, I was added to a Telegram group promoting Bitcoin trading, and after investigating, I uncovered an elaborate scheme designed to trick people into handing over access to their real cryptocurrency wallets. This article breaks down exactly how the scam works, the red flags to watch for, and how to protect yourself and your loved ones from falling victim.

The Fake Community Illusion

The Telegram group was filled with what seemed to be active traders celebrating their profitable transactions. Fake users posted screenshots of supposed gains, reinforcing the illusion that the group was legitimate. A user named "Bill Davis" regularly posted buy recommendations, urging members to place trades and promising easy profits.

Intuit is phasing out QuickBooks Desktop in favor of QuickBooks Online, pushing users toward a subscription model. But if you have an older version—like QuickBooks Desktop 2020—you might not need to panic just yet.

I recently used TurboTax tax filing service, and while their system doesn’t allow you to upload QuickBooks data files directly, there’s a simple workaround. You can generate your Income & Expense reports within QuickBooks and then upload them to TurboTax as PDFs. This means you can still use your old software for tax prep without needing to switch to QuickBooks Online.  This same process would work with other accounting firms, including H&R Block, etc.
