This is an online community site, where members pay their membership dues in order to promote their work in the A&C Directory and access members-only features.  To accomplish this, we customized and integrated several open-source components; a photo gallery & management tool, an events calendar, a discussion forum, a private messaging system, and all are tied together with PayPal's payment gateway.
